Venue Accomodation

The organizing committee suggests to accommodate at The Research Centre Lodging of San Servolo filling the ACCOMODATION REGISTRATION FORM .

San Servolo is a small island in the Lagoon of Venice. It can be reached from Piazza San Marco, the heart of Venice, by using a public boat (vaporetto) service (in 10 min). It also can be reached by boat fromthe Venice International Airport " Marco Polo". The island hosts a wide variety of cultural events and offers a nice location for national and international meetings. Even if there are no shops, it provides a series of facilities, including accommodation, internet facilities, a self-service restaurant. A certain number of rooms have been reserved in San Servolo for ADHOC 2008 participants. Rooms have en-suite facilities, internet connection, air conditioning. Because of the limited number, they will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis at the moment of the registration.

Single rooms are available in a limited number and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for guaranteed hotel reservation is May 1st, 2008. After the deadline, accommodation may be reserved in the symposium selected hotels only on the basis of place availability.

Special rooms fare are available: single room: 60,00 euros - VAT included, double room: 90,00 euros - VAT included, three beds room: 99,00 euros - VAT included, four beds room: 120,00 euros - VAT included

Please note that in the Research Centre Lodging, rooms cleaning is provided only after seven days of staying. Extra charge would be applied, if requested.

Alternative Accomodation

We suggest the partecipant to stay in a hotel near the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop, near Piazza San Marco (St. Mark’s Square). From there you can catch a boat (#20) directly to the Island of San Servolo (10 minutes). Try to book a hotel near the Grand Canal, either in the sestiere (district) of San Marco or the sestiere of Castello (West). Plenty of other hotels (including B & B’s, hostels, and apartments near the railroad station or even in Mestre, the suburban town in the mainland) may be available elsewhere, but staying in them will require you to take a separate vaporetto to San Marco or San Zaccaria and then to walk the Riva degli Schiavoni to transfer to vaporetto #20 to San Servolo.
