Travel Information

The  Water Transport Lines (vaporetti) provide easy transport around Venice. There is also a Tourist Card which offers unlimited use of public transportation, free access to the 10 Municipal Museums as well as discounts for parking, cultural sites, events, restaurants and shops.

HOW TO ARRIVE

S. Servolo from Venice center (S. Zaccaria)

San Servolo Island is connected to Venice centre by a regular and frequent public transportation (ACTV line 20) from the “Riva degli Schiavoni” close to San Marco square. The stop is San Zaccaria (in front of the Londra Palace Hotel). The journey takes approximately 10 minutes.

How to reach Venice centre (S. Zaccaria)

Arrival by air:

Venice “Marco Polo” International Airport

Taxi and ACTV: taxi connection from Venice International Airport to Piazzale Roma in 15 minutes (radiotaxi Mestre tel. +39-041-936222, rather expensive). From Piazzale Roma to S. Zaccaria by public service (ACTV line 1 in 40 min, line 51 in 20 min).

Bus shuttle ATVO and ACTV: direct connection from Venice International Airport to Piazzale Roma (20 minutes). From Piazzale Roma to S. Zaccaria by public service (ACTV line 1 in 40 min, line 51 in 20 min).

Water Taxi: water taxi are private small motorboats for passengers (maximum number of people about 10-12). From the airport Water Taxi is the most fast way (about 30 minutes) to reach directly the centre of Venice (S. Zaccaria), but the most expensive.

Water bus (Alilaguna):motorboat connection to S. Zaccaria with intermediate stops in Murano, Fondamente Nove, Lido is available every hour from 9.45 to 23.45. The journey takes 70 minutes. For further information please visit the Alilaguna website.

Treviso "Antonio Canova" International Airport

Taxi: taxi connection from Treviso International Airport to Treviso Railway station or Venice, Piazzale Roma (30-45 minutes). Radio Taxi Treviso +39 0422 431515, rather expensive). From Piazzale Roma to S. Zaccaria by public service (ACTV line 1 in 40 min, line 51 in 20 min).

Bus shuttle : are available direct connection from Treviso International Airport to:

-Treviso Railway Station (15-20 minutes, Line 6) linea ACTT AIR TERMINAL

- Venezia P.le Roma (60-70 minutes) The service is in connections with the departures and the arrivals of the TRANSAVIA.COM - ALPI EAGLES flights or in connections with the departures and the arrivals of the RYANAIR flights (Timetables)

From Treviso and Venezia-Mestre railway stations frequent trains depart to Venezia Santa Lucia Railaway Station (Trenitalia).

 

Arrival by train: Venice (S. Lucia) railroad station

Venezia Santa Lucia Rail Station is linked to the major Italian and European cities. From Venezia Santa Lucia station you can reach your destinationby public transportation, or water taxi.

Arrival by car:

As you know, there is no road transport within Venice city centre. The car and bus terminal is Piazzale Roma. Arriving at Piazzale Roma you have to leave your car in one of the car parks running there (Piazzale Roma Parking of the city, Garage San Marco), but it is very hard to find a free place. The other possibility is to leave the car in the parking place “Tronchetto”. For further information please see the Tronchetto Parking web sites.
