Attività di Ricerca:
Research topics: EPR studies on radical pairs in solution. Introduction of ENDOR in Italy. Quasi-crystal-like ENDOR in disordered systems and amplitude ENDOR spectroscopy for methyl groups rotation in solids. ENDOR and EPR studies on dynamics and structures of radicals in inclusion compounds. Electron spin echo spectroscopy studies (ESE) on the dynamical properties of radicals trapped in solids. Radicals in aminoacids crystals. Study of the radical anions of fulleropyrrolidines with FT-EPR. Determination of the relaxation processes in ESE decays. Applications to the quantitative determination of radical local concentration in EPR dosimetry. Study of the stilbene radical cations produced in zeolites. Study with Time Resolved EPR and Electron Spin Echo of photoexcited triplet states of chromophores as phtalocyanine, oligothiophenes, fullerene derivatives. ESEEM (Electron Spin Echo Envelope Modulation) in metalloenzymes.
