How to get to Padova
From Venice Airport or the North of Italy: take the A4 Milano-Venezia motorway, get out at the exit "Padova Est" (Padova, Eastern exit), then follow the indications for the centre of Padova. Padova is linked by motorways with Venezia, Milan and Bologna.
From the South of Italy: take the A13 motorway, get past the Padova Zona Industriale exit, where the A13 motorway branches off into the A4 - direction: Milan. Just 500 mt. after the junction, exit at "Padova Est" and follow the indications for the centre of Padova.

Padova is at a key point on the Torino-Trieste and Venice-Rome rail routes and is consequently well served by the rail network. It is about two hours from Milan, 1 hour from Bologna and 30 minutes from Venice and Verona.
All the trains to and from Milan or Rome stop in Padova.
In front of Padova train station you will find the APS city buses, providing the urban connection service. Tickets are to be bought in advance at the APS booth, 1 ticket lasts 75 minutes and costs 1,10 eur.

The nearest airport is VENICE Marco Polo [www.veniceairport.it] (40 Km form Padova) where many national and international airlines operate.

The Shuttle service from Venice Airport is the most convenient means of transportation considering cost and overall comfort. From Venice airport a private company, LANDOMAS, runs a shuttle service to Padova / Abano Terme, to be reserved in advance, at an average cost of 30 Euro per person (one-way fare). The ride lasts about 45 minutes and takes travellers directly to their hotel in Padova.
The ride from Venice to Padova with an individual taxi costs 75 Euros.

Certainly the most economical means of transportation, but rather awkward if you have lots of luggage. SITA runs a bus service connecting Venice airport with Padova (end stop: Terminal, Viale della Pace, Padova - close to the railway station). Ticket cost (one way): about 5 Euro, the drive takes 70 to 80 minutes depending on the traffic. Bus leaving Venice airport for Padova 25 minutes to the hour, and every 5 minutes past the hour (eg: 7.05, 7.35, 8.05
). Bus leaving Terminal, Viale della Pace(Padova) for Venice airport 5 minutes to the hour and every 25 minutes past the hour (eg: 7.25, 7.55, 7.05
