Paul Heitjans

Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universitat, Hannover, Germany

Paul Heitjans is Professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Hannover (Germany) and holds the Niedersachsen Professorship ‘Mobility of Ions in Solids’. He got his PhD in physics at Heidelberg University and Habilitation at Marburg University. He was a principal research scientist at Institut Laue-Langevin in Grenoble (France) and Forschungszentrum Jülich (Germany), before he accepted a physical chemistry professorship at Hannover University. His expertise is in solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance, solid-state diffusion, and mechanochemistry. He is initiator and speaker of a DFG Research Unit (molife) devoted to Li-ion conductors.
