Achim Walter Hassel

Achim Walter Hassel received his PhD from University of Düsseldorf. He was an Alexander von Humboldt- fellow and JSPS fellow from 1997-1999 as a Postdoc at Hokkaido University (Sapporo, Japan). 2000-2009 he was head of the Electrochemistry and Corrosion group at the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research as well as the scientific director of the IMPRS Surmat. Since 2009 he holds a chair in Chemistry at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria. Moreover he is a CEST key researcher and head of the Christian Doppler Laboratory for combinatorial oxide chemistry. Research interests: combinatorial and electrochemical materials science.
