Mogens Mogensen

Mogens B. Mogensen is Professor at Department of Energy, Technical University of Denmark. He received his M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, 1973, and Ph.D. in Corrosion 1976, both from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). 43 years in electrochemistry; 29 years in SOC R&D; 8 years in 200 - 250 °C alkaline, and 3 years in PEM electrolysis. Contributed to the understanding of electrode reaction and degradation mechanisms in SOCs, alkaline cells, and Li-SOCl2 batteries. New strategies in application of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. h-index 55; 270 papers on Web of Science cited 11,000 times. 1 paper cited > 1,100, 10 > 200 and 32 >100 times; He has 20 patents/patent applications. Active in the Executive Committee of the High Temperature Materials Division of ECS for 20 years, and associated editor of SSI during a decade. He is an experienced manager, previously Head of Program (2 y) and coordinator of EU projects, leader of Strategic Electrochemical Research Center, and manager of many Danish and international R&D projects. Received Christian Friedrich Schönbein Medal of Honour, 8th European Fuel Cell Forum, 2008; Science of Hydrogen & Energy Award, 6th Hydrogen & Energy Symposium, 2012; Fellow of the Electrochemical Society.
