Admission 2019
On 8 April 2019 the call for admission to the Graduate Course in Molecular Sciences at the University of Padova has been published. A total of 26 fellowships are available of which 24 with a scholarship. Four fellowships are available at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche. The fellowships will be assigned after a comparative evaluation of the candidates based on the CV, a written exam and an interview (see below). Two fellowships with scholarship are reserved for candidates with a degree from a non-Italian university.

A detailed list of all available fellowships from the 2019 call can be found here. The fellowships are divided between the two curricula of the course: Chemical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Science.

Important dates and deadlines
14 May 2019 (13:00): application deadline
17 May 2019 (13:00): deadline for sending reference letters
7 June 2019: written admission test – general admission procedure
11 June 2019: interview (may continue on 12 June) - general admission procedure
14 June 2019: interview – admission procedure for candidates with a non-Italian degree

1 October 2019: starting date of the graduate course in Molecular Sciences (35th cycle)

Admission procedure
The admission to the two curricula Chemical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Sciences follows separate procedures. Important: A candidate can apply only for one curriculum.

For each curriculum, two separate admission tracks are available depending on the positions for which the candidate applies:

1. General admission procedure
The following candidates are eligible for application:
1. Students with a degree (laurea specialistica/magistrale/ciclo unico) in chemistry, industrial chemistry, materials science, biotechnology, chemistry and pharmaceutical technology, pharmacy. The course is also open to students with a background in scientific disciplines such as biology, physics, mathematics, who are interested in acquiring a PhD-degree in the field of Molecular Sciences.
2. Students of the abovementioned areas that will obtain a degree (laurea specialistica/magistrale/ciclo unico) before 1 October 2019, which is the starting date of the PhD-course.

2. Admission procedure for fellowships reserved for candidates with a degree from a non-Italian university

The following candidates are eligible for application:
1. Students in the possession of a degree in the abovementioned areas obtained at a non-Italian university or those that will obtain such a degree before 1 October 2019.

It is noted that these students can also chose to follow the general admission procedure. However, it is not allowed to participate in both selections.
