Relations with companies and institutions

The master’s degree programme in Sustainable Chemistry and Technologies for Circular Economy is characterized by an intensive and continuous relationship with the local community (Regione Veneto, trade associations, local companies and industrial districts), professional bodies (e.g. the professional association of chemists and biologists), and the productive and institutional context, both Italian and European. The programme has also entered into agreements with companies, multinational companies and institutions operating within the CE sector and willing to host student during their internship.

  Online questionnaire

From May 2019 to August 2020 a diversified and wide initiative took place, involving 147 Italian and European companies and institutions, signaling how important these actors are for the master’s degree programme. In particular, consultations with companies and representative organizations included administering an online questionnaire with the objective of collecting suggestions, proposals and evaluations concerning the educational programme. The response rate was very high (134/147), thus confirming the interest towards such an initiative.

Companies and organizations involved represent, both in terms of activities and trade sectors (pharmaceutical, automotive, metallurgical, cosmetic, fashion, tannery, construction, chemical, rubbers and polymers, materials, agri-food, renewable energies, etc.) and in terms of size (ranging from small- and medium-sized companies to large companies) and geographical location, a satisfactory and comprehensive representation of the national and European productive sector.

To ensure high-quality training, an updated questionnaire on the state-of-the-art of the master’s degree programme and its appropriateness with initial and future expectations (also as a result of legislative developments at the national and European level) will be administered every two years to the same companies and institutions.
