Giorgio Modena Award

Aula Magna di Palazzo

03.05.2019

We are pleased to invite you to the first MODENA AWARD SYMPOSIUM, honoring the scientific vision and academic distinction of our “Maestro” Giorgio Modena (1924-2011). Giorgio Modena was a fearless pioneer of physical organic chemistry and asymmetric catalysis, founder of a world-recognized research center on the study of reaction mechanisms. The MODENA AWARD SYMPOSIUM will take place on May 3rd 2019, in the Aula Magna of Palazzo Bo, the historical building of the University of Padova, founded in 1222. On this occasion, the Modena Award 2019 will be given to prof. Paolo Melchiorre (ICIQ, Tarragona, SP) e prof. Francesco Stellacci (EPLS, Lausanne, CH)  to celebrate frontier research with high international reach, novelty and interdisciplinarity.

The scientific program will showcase groundbreaking research and novel perspectives by leading scientists and young investigators. Join us in looking back at our history, sharing memories and get inspired by our eminent speakers: Berndt Giese, Scott Denmark and Matt Sigman.

Please register for the event (free of charge) and the Gala Dinner following the Modena Award Symposium here: http://wwwdisc.chimica.unipd.it/ModenaAward/

Looking forward to seeing you, The Organizing Committee
